Ōgyges, is, Ōgygus, i, and Ōgy-gĭus, ĭi, m., = Ὠγύγης, Ὤγυγος, Ὠγύγιος, the mythic founder and king of Thebes, in Bœtia, in whose reign a great deluge is said to have occurred: oppidum Thebae, quod rex Ogyges aedificarit, Varr.
