- (α) With gen. subj.: animus intentione suā depellit pressum omnem ponderum, Cic. Tusc. 2, 23, 54.
- (β) With gen. obj.: hic pressu duplici palmarum continet anguem, Cic. poët. N. D. 2, 42, 109: ipso oris pressu, i. e. a proper pressure of the lips, so as not to pronounce too broadly, id. de Or. 3, 11, 43.
