Aeăcus, i, m., = Αἰακός (Gr. acc. Aeacon, Ov. M. 9, 434), acc. to the fable, son of Jupiter by Europa, king of Ægina, father of Peleus and Telamon, grandfather of Achilles and Ajax; on account of his just government made judge in the lower regions, with Minos and Rhadamanthus: quam pæne judicantem vidimus Aeacum!
