lūno, āvi, ātum, 1, v. a. [1. luna], to bend like a half-moon or crescent, to crook like a sickle (rare in the verb. finit.; freq. in the P. a.): lunavit fortiter arcum, Ov. Am. 1, 1, 23: acies geminos in arcus, Prop. 4 (5), 6, 25.
