Arcĭ-tĕnens (in MSS. also arquĭtĕ-nens, like arquus for arcus, quur for cur, etc.), entis, adj. [arcus-teneo], carrying a bow, bow-bearing, in imitation of the Gr. Τοζοφόρος.
