Mĕrŏpē, ēs, f., = Μερόπη, the mythic name of several persons.

  1. I. A daughter of Atlas and Pleione, one of the Pleiades, whose star is more obscure than the rest, because she wedded Sisyphus, a mortal, Ov. F. 4, 175.
  2. II. A daughter of Sol and Clymene, and sister of Phaëthon, Hyg. Fab. 152.
  3. III. The wife of Megareus, Hyg. Fab. 185.
